Dap 18354 Seal 'N Peel Removable Caulk, 10.1-Ounce

DAP "Seal-n-Peel" removable caulk
After a month the caulk is holding well, but has shrunken a lot and will need a second layer in some places. The other thing to be aware of is that the fumes are very strong as it cures -- allow good ventilation for at least two days.

Great for Older Windows; Saves a Lot of Money
This product is terrific.

I live in a 95 year-old house in Boston with 25 wooden, double-hung windows. When I bought the house 15 years ago, I realized it would cost me a good $6,000+ to replace all the old windows, not to mention the architectural impact of losing my classic windows. So I looked around for a solution. While double-glazing unquestionably saves heat, experts agree that air infiltration is a bigger culprit with regard to energy loss and discomfort. Enter Seal 'N Peel.

I caulked up all but one or two of my windows with this product and noticed an AMAZING difference in my house. While I can't quantify the savings on heat (plus I've done a ton of other things like insulating, caulking outdoors, etc.), I can say that the comfort level of the house increased MASSIVELY. The house is MUCH more comfortable in winter now.

Usage -- my windows are roughly 30"x60", traditional double-hung. I've found I can do about 2 1/2 windows per tube, sometimes...

Stinky!!
I am giving this item 3 stars only because of the SMELL!! When the product is curing it gives off a very strong odor. Be sure you have plenty of ventilation when using this product.
