Whirlpool Electric Dryer Heating Element 3387747

Failed after 4 months
This part failed after four months of normal use. Needless to say I did not get a replacement from here. I believe these could be counterfeit parts labeled as whirlpool. The new one that I bought to replace this failed unit was different. It had the part number and the FSP label stamped into the metal frame of this heating element. The one I bought here had no stampings or part identification on the part itself. I would guess the part offered here is a cheap copy using a counterfeit box to appear as OEM.
Buy at your own risk and don't expect this to last more than a few months.

Broken element after 3 months.
Unfortunately, the coil on this new element broke after 3 and a half months. It is an easy fix, the part fits well, and it didn't look any different than the old element I removed, but the original element lasted 17 years. I'll be staying away from this "bargain."

Burned out in less than two months
Order received March 14. It worked for less than two months, now here I am (May 8) having to buy another element.
