It fits- but poor quality
This fit's my 1959 Oster beehive blender perfectly. But after about 3 weeks of use, it's rusted. Still works but, hello?! My old one never rusted over 50+ years (before the rubber blew chunks)
I TRY my darndest to stick to old, beefy, trusted gear- then only to get poorly produced replacement parts. It's a nut with a washer that needs to have some water resistance- not that hard to produce- or so i thought. Are we all getting sucked into the vortex of mediocrity?
Fixed and working
We have owned our oster blender for years. My kids had taken to making smoothies every morning for breakfast. When it no longer functioned because the pin that comes out of the base was stripped on the sides, they were devestated. (A bit drastic I know, but they are kids.) I started researching blenders but could not decide on a new one. Instead I found that, through Amazon, we could get a simple piece to fix it. It was very inexpensive, came quickly and now our blender works like new again. We have two jars for this bender and I am thrilled that it is use instead of in a landfill. And all for a few dollars.
